Two of our canadian acts grant us with new music!

Shred Kelly’s brand new single “Archipelago” is out now!

Yesterday they opened their germany tour and there is more to come:

And our new act Owen Meany’s Batting Stance releases his new EP today!

As part of our fifth “About Songs Youngbloods” – Tour, he will share the stage with two other canadian songwriters: Megan Nash and Devarrow.

For the very first time our new Canadian Act Owen Meanys Batting Stance will be on the European road in September!

His new EP will be released on August, 25th. via DanCan

Daniel Green will be back on the road soon! He released his album “Down & Up Again” via DanCan

Yes We Mystic just released their new video for “Ceilings” and will be back in Europe very soon! 

A short time ago, Deerborn released their new music video for their song ‘Awaken’.

Great shows and an absolutely amazing tour together with Close Talker came to an end at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton. But we have some good news and some stuff to bridge the time without Yes We Mystic in Germany.

They will definitely come back this year, according to rumours probably in September! Dan will keep you updated! In the meantime, take a look at their “No Harm” music video. Little kids doin’ creepy stuff!

The Stoke-Folk group Shred Kelly had an amazing time in Germany. Stuffed venues, thrilled audiences and a very cheerful band played a few great shows! And on top a worth seeing gardening session at about songs.de

Please describe you LP “Sing To The Night “ in just one sentence.

Sage McBride and Tim Newton: It’s the perfect mix of folk and rock pushing the boundaries of folk music while using inspiration from our favorite Rockbands from the 70´s and 80´s.

With whom would you love to play a concert? It does not matter if this person is alive or already dead.

Tim Newton: I would like to play a concert with the Canadian Rock Band ‘Rush’

What is your favorite music label? Except of your own!

Tim Newton: I have so many albums on Sub Pop Records. 

How would you imagine the ideal life as a musician?

Sage McBride: Idealy we just be able to create music and able to sustain our living creating music. So I would be able to tour around and see other parts of the world by writing songs and play music.

 At exactly which place do you feel most comfortable?

Tim Newton: I feel most comfortable at home in British Columbia.

Sage McBride: And on stage of cause. 

Hello Yes We Mystic! We’re proud to announce a new member of the DanCan community.

Yes We Mystic will release their new album “Forgiver” on the 29th of April and there’s even more to it than that: They will come to Germany in May! more Infos coming soon!

So, what have you been unable to forgive?

Yes We Mystic is a five-piece group from Winnipeg, They grab ideas and aesthetics from all over the map and ventures to morph them into something entirely different. They take their favorite bits of folk, rock, and R&B, hurl strings and mandolins together with synthesizers, pedals, and samples, and come up with music that can mellow and groove but climb in an instant to towering, frenzied heights.
